Seems like after nearly 4 weeks, the PSN is being restored, as of today. Check the news here: http://blog.us.playstation.comI finished my last exams on Friday, and bought Black Ops on Saturday, so I guess it's happening right on time.  [offtopic]I've finished Black Ops campaign within roughly 3 hours on easy difficulty. It's average. Slightly worse than I've expected. For their demo, they picked the very best mission, so I was kind of expecting more. Can't say it was a waste of money like Reach or so, but I'm slightly disappointed. Will check out MP soon. Might also get Brink in a short while. I don't really like it's style but maybe it's better than I'd think. [/offtopic] |

So is the PSN Outage over or is the Playstation Network going to be up shortly, in their words?
I'll have to check to see if my failed update will actually install after the psn outage is over.

I got it for 360. I'll be writing up a review today and I'll post it on this site. But for now I'll say it's pretty average and I don't recommend it unless you already like it. It's rather lacking in content but they say they're gonna release some free DLC in June or so... |

So you switched to the dark side for good? lol. But for now I'll say it's pretty average and I don't recommend it unless you already like it. I'll watch some reviews about it, for sure. I only said I might get it. Once again though, I'll have to mention the Reach fiasco; everyone claimed it was good but I didn't like it at all. Tastes are different, so... |

No, but PSN was down and I wanted to play online. Plus no one I know on PS3 has even mentioned getting it. (except you, just now ) Plus multiplatform titles like CoD or Borderlands and such tend to be better on 360. This is because most developers or lazy so they build the game on 360 and just port it to PS3 without doing it right. Borderlands as an example had some ugly framerate issues on PS3 but they were nowhere to be found on 360. But it's mainly about who ends up playing it with me. |

If I'm not wrong Jumodu was also getting it. He was actually the one who told me about that game, and since I saw that ass-kicking machinima trailer for it, I became a little interested.
I have to say though, I don't like the setting. Seems the entire game plays on junkyards only (Why do all games have lots of brown junkyards in them nowadays!?).
Anyway, the PSN is up everywhere except some European countries (Germany is amongst them), and that really pisses me off.

Okay, PSN's been up for a good 1 and a half hours.
First I got on Black Ops, and first thing I get to see: Host migration. Duh.
Okay, after that I got some kills, immediately followed by a headshot coming from someone who "warped" from one location to another. Infact, it wasn't one player. Many players did those infamous 10-meter-jumps. We're talking about maximum lag here, possibly about as bad as on Crysis.
Jumped on FC2 just to have two of my worst ever games, on which I noticed that firstly 80% of my skills are pretty much gone by now; I got owned by the average AR-16 spammer. Some people I've seen before who used to do much worse than me earlier, now did about 7-8 kills better than me. I don't know whether my FC2 game is cursed, but it would seem so. It might be the fact that I've gotten used to Cube.
Secondly, as it can be expected, it was a massive lagfest. There were people jumping through walls - emptying a pistol clip in their face wouldn't help, instead they'd appear somewhere behind you, and you'd be taken down with 2 shots from the PKM. 6 of 8 players on the other team also were having headsets, possibly that gave them an additional advantage. Whenever I killed one guy, some other guy seemed to know my position.
So then, I wanted to switch to Black Ops, servers were down. Switched to KZ3, my PS3 crashed and bam, PSN is down again, I can't sign back in.
As of now, it is still down.
