The demo is on the PS store now. I downloaded it last night and tried several missions.
Gameplay is very similar to the first one. Graphics are improved, but not cutting edge. Environment has many destructible elements too.
The scenario editor is NOT in the demo, still have to wait until release next Tuesday.
Fortunately, Sucker Punch and MLG are in town this weekend, I may head down there if I have time: "Major League Gaming and inFAMOUS 2 team up to give you the chance to create your very own inFAMOUS 2 levels this weekend (June 3-5) in Columbus, Ohio. You will get the chance to play with Sucker Punch and compete in exclusive Sucker Punch-designed levels with the chance to win the inFAMOUS 2 Hero Edition!"

Infamous 2... Is this an FPS title? ... Is there a level editor?

It's not FPS, it's a 3rd person action game set in an open world, and there's a mission editor. Do you play FPS only?
I also played the demo and I have to say I absolutely loved it. It is very similar to Infamous 1 indeed, but the environment is quite different if I recall correctly. The city has a better design on Infamous 2, well for my taste.
Those moves are truly epic, climbing around on rooftops and grinding wires provides quite a lot of fun.
I hope the mission editor will turn out good. From what I heard of it, I'm pretty convinced it's gonna be.

That's really cool. Is this game co-op? Is there multiplayer? Single player games with editors, just aren't my style.

Only single-player, no co-op. The levels made with the editor can be shared with others though. Really? Another name change? ...

Well as someone who likes games with editors, plus a supporter of singleplayer since quite a while ago, I'm so gonna buy this. The demo was easily good enough already, and this editor feature looks interesting, so maybe I'll end up putting a lot of time into creating my missions (A mission editor is probably the rarest type of editor ever... I know there's one in the PC version of OFDR, then Tony Hawk's Underground and of course Cube and LBP, but that's pretty much it).

You should check out Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood for PC. It's a FPS by Ubi, set in the old west like RDR. It has a level/scenario editor all in one. You can create MP maps for online play, or SP missions complete with intros, dialog, multiple objectives, ai scripting, etc. The game runs on the Chrome engine 4 and uses the ChromeEditor. It's pretty easy to learn the basics, although I never finished my SP level. COJ Modding siteAlso, Call of Juarez: The Cartel is due out June 28th for all platforms. The PC version should have ChromEditor and is all modern brushes.

Yesterday I finished campaign on Good.
This game is a must-have to anyone who likes open world games. Note: If you're into MP, forget it.
But if you don't mind a single player open world game... get it. You won't regret. The moves, the abilities, the environment, the graphics... are awesome.
New Marais looks MUCH better than Empire City from Inf 1. Everything has been improved.
The abilties are also friggin' awesome. My favorite one is the electric grappling hook. When I unlocked it, I was like: A GRAPPLE??? o_O
Infact it has the same mechanics as JC2's grapple, but it seems that it's got twice the range. I consider it possible that they nicked it from JC2 actually.
Haven't figured out how to work with the editor, but it seems to be a bit of a copy of LBP.

played the demo when it came out, pretty cool though it took forever and a day to download. i take it deez didnt select infamous as one of the free welcome back games. kind of surprised you never heard of it seeing as how you have a ps3 and run a video game website lol. it was def the best game out of that welcome back thing, i know because i downloaded them all. i loved infamous though it got a little monotonous with the side missions and was starting to bore me before i beat it. regular missions were good though. hopefully they did more with the side missions in infamous 2, they should be more varied and weave into the story somewhat at times or at least not be the same few things over and over. still havent beat the game as a bad ass but i doubt i could grind through it again.
this editor looks interesting, nothing like the fc map editor but definitely adds some sort of replay value. id like to see the more interesting "out there" things like space invaders. i dont think id want to create levels that are basically some derivative of something already in the sp.
