B-spec is still in the game, but it's far more advanced than in the previous games. In GT4, you simply just had to reach 25% game completed to open endurance. In this game, you will have to reach either A-spec level, or B-spec level 25 to open the endurance race series. It doesn't even show up until you reach lvl 25. I'm currently at lvl 20, just opened the Extreme race series.
More in-depth B-spec information; (just gonna call it B)
when you're going to drive B, you will need to create a driver, and start his career with the easy races. This way, he will level-up the same way you do in A. You're drivers level will not only affect which races you get to enter, but also it will affect your racers physics and mental-strength. In other words, your driver gets affected by the length of the race. A lvl 1 B driver, will be able to drive a 10 lap race on Tsukuba, but then he starts to get tired. He'll level up while you complete races, and when you reach level 25, he will probably be able to drive the 4-hour endurances. But when you reach the 1000km, and 24 hour races, you will need two drivers, so that the other one will be able to rest. You will be able to change the driver in while refilling gas and changing tires in the pit-stop. But remember; both drivers should be the same level, or at least pretty close. If you want to drive the Nürburgring Nordschleife 24 hour endurance, you will need to get the driver all the way to level 40. That's gonna take a lot of time. And remember, you'll need two of them to be able to drive the whole race. I don't think you'll be able to change to A while being in a B race, cause the B and A are two different areas in the game, and you'll get different cars from winning all races in A and B.
This game has less races than GT4 had, but now you'll need to complete all races in both A and B, and that makes this game more complicated than GT4, but it's also more exciting and you'll have a better chance off winning a race if you pick the right car. In GT4, some races were almost unbeatable, cause you would have to use a specific car, and it would need to be untuned.. In this game, you get more freedom to do whatever you want. And when you really want a challenge, go to the special events, or try to beat every License test with gold.
+ B in this game is much more lifelike, and I think the idea is great. They really put an effort in making this game awesome in every way.
- It takes a lot of time to level up in both A and B. Some people don't really have the time to do this.
= Though B takes a lot of time, this game is not meant to be completed in a week or a month. This game should be enjoyable for a long time. You'll need some challenges.
Hope this was helpful to you
