Does that roller coaster glitch from FC1 still work on FC2? If so then I plan to build a roller coaster level soon, maybe with actual fighting game play too. No stealing ideas please.  Tongue

Roller coaster glitch???

Lol.

The roller coaster glitch was when you place two metal ramps or two wood ramps side by side, and when you jump in between the two ramps, you start gliding or something, and you would speed up faster and faster.

People would build roller coaster levels where you would start in the sky, and almost nonstop speed around to the bottom. Except sometimes people didn't build it very well and I kept dying...

Cool, I tried to tilt the elevators and it didn't work at all.

It doesn't have two do anything with elevators.  Shocked

Farcry 1 didn't have elevators anyways.
I guess what the roller coaster glitch was is when you fall in between two objects that caused you to seem like you were floating, but if you fell in between two ramps, the down pull of the game would cause you to slide.

I'm going to try to recreate the glitch in FC2 once I get the chance. Maybe there should be a spot somewhere where we can list all the glitches.

Map review: "Troublesome" by OSAMASTYLEZ.

Played on that one a couple of weeks ago or so. It's indeed perfect for CTD, but also for uprising. Nice job on those concrete buildings, i especially liked the UFLL building with the diamond in it. Looks like a parking lot a bit. Detail work looks pretty decent, but there's one thing that i really don't like about the map: The small APR building which is right near the huge one; it makes killing a bit easy. You can basically camp on the upper floor and snipe off the whole UFLL base without getting hurt. Bullets incoming from the enemy base can be easily avoided, cause you're completely surrounded by concrete walls. If someone would take the ladder in there, you could easily get rid of him and go ahead. If someone would throw a grenade up there you could dodge it easily, cause there's enough room. Even in a critical situation, i.e. if someone would use rockets or GLs, you could just jump outta there and go back in again. You're getting attacked from 2 directions, but barely at the same time. Plus, the MK-19 turret is unnecessary. At all though, i'd give the map a 9/10 rating. Best class is definitely saboteur.

thanks for the review man, really apreciate it.  Grin

lol i put alot of mk19 turrets in the map cuz i wanted to make the map ''explosive'' i thought it would be cool to hear grenades explode everywhere on the map so it feels like a artillery strike  Cheesy

Your right about the small building next to apr base.. snipers can camp there without bein in real danger, the UFLL team can have a hard time if there is one good sniper in that building.. but UFLL can flank easy..

should i leave the small building next to apr base or should i  delete it?  or should i just make another bunker like structure close to the UFLL base?

btw did you found the ''secret tunnel'' leading to the glider and sniper spot?  that sniper spot has a great view on APR base..    you have to swim under the rocks to get in the ''secret tunnel''

Maybe change it a bit, especially the upper floor. It needs more holes in the walls, so that it's not that easy for snipers in there anymore.
Or, as you said, maybe build an opposite UFLL bunker near that parking structure-like building.

Yeah i found it when i was in map maker, i didnt look for it at the bottom, i went up to the sniping spot instead and found the tunnel easily from there.  Cheesy

The Puppet Master...

i think i will review Maxpowers Turnpike Terror.
Well what can i say, Max you never cease to amaze me, your gonna be a real loss for Fc2.
This map is in my opinion one of the best i have ever played, trumped by a select few in my 300 strong map banks.

The design.
The layout of this map is perfect a great curve shape with multiple routes to each side and cover is abundant. The road signs are all climbable as far as i know and provide perfect sniper spots. However when I fell off into the water i was running around like a headless chicken looking for the way back up. The forest makes it hard to navigate. But still...IMENSE!

Detail...
I've always said its the little things which count and Max here is the master of little things which count. the fact you put tyres, hub caps, the lot on each car makes a huge difference. Then we get to the signs... when i first played my spec camera settled on the McDonalds logo i was astounded and if im right were they made out of colonial fence? if so how can you manipulate it
