so i thought up a new gamemode for us farcry players. no this gamemode is playable. its called assassination. similar to the killzone2 gamemode, you hunt the 1 target avalable in a map. now some might ask how do you do this. well 1 team captures all the uprising points in a map, then they hunt the opposing captain. this way, the team will have to rely on heavy teamwork and communication to play and win a round.

some might ask, isnt that off balenced? no not at all. you see the timer of the round is low enough to win by. and also if the team is good enough, they can take back all the objectives and hunt the other captain as well.

i am going to, with permission, ask people if i can change the uprising spawns so i can test this mode. dont worry, i will not keep up the " jacked" versions, if you will. this is to merly test a gamemode on a well known map.

i need 4-6 entries. so if your intrested on this new idea, and want to join or allow me to change the map around. post here.
i might start this next week, or after im done with my new maps coming soon.

You should play it in deathmatch.
Then one person is called out at the beginning to be "it".  Then at the start of the round, everybody would hunt him/her.  Once a person kills him, then that person is "it".  You would have to manually count up the points for this game.  But I see it being scored like:(a) 1 point if you kill whoever is "it",(b) 1 point per 30secs of being it (or 1 point per kill while "it"),(c) -2 points if somebody who's not "it" kills somebody else who is not "it".
And you would have to play in normal mode so it would actually take a bit of effort to kill.

If you go by (b) the 1 point per kill while "it", you could use the games score counter minus the "not it" kills to get the final score.

good idea, but that is simply too complicated to keep track of. my method is easier to follow and when the person dies, the match ends.

Well since you'd need to educate people on how to play anyway it wouldn't be too complex for Deez' idea.
They'd need to have a mic or be in a chat room with you.

The deathmatch idea is easier 'cause you don't have to reconfigure the map to do it.
The thing about FC302's is that they'd all be after one guy and he can't really win.
What about the rest of his team? Are they allowed to take the points back. Once they get one point then it just turns back into an ordinary game of uprising. The thing is they wouldn't need to hunt down the captain, once all points are taken they only have to wait 'til time runs out to win. They could just camp the whole time on the points. Since it's the enemy captain they're after and he's the only one who can take points.

The thing about Deez' is that there's no real way of telling who's "it" other than letting people know via chat room or message. You can try and keep up but it'll probably be harder after a few switches. The other thing is there's no distinction in character. You can't see people's names (at least, not in hardcore mode)  so there will be a lot of random kills before the "it" get's switched.

I'm all for new mode ideas, if you want to reconfigure any of my maps, go right ahead. If this idea really catches o then I'll reconfigure them myself and publish an alternate version for the mode. I might even make some maps designed with this mode in mind. Smiley

hmm i see Grin
but the it will be like a bit hard too keep track of the guy. since it takes 4 winters to press the ps button, wait 4 the chat 2 pop up, type whos the target, press start, and then press the ps button again.
true both methods are flawed and have there great points. its just that maby the community can resolve this problem and for an universal gamemode. this can be great. what happen if i placed the protectors around the hunters spawns? this way they can still have great leverage. true they can still camp till the time runs out. but the whole point is to kill the guy that is the target.


so yeah im very unsure. maby me and deez and conjoin the matches like this old gamemode i thought of. u would put the opposite diamond crate at a teams spawn( ex. ufll diamonds at a apr spawn ). this make the guy show up on radar, they can hunt the other guy, and there will always be a runner/ hunted person. because the diamond is in there spawn. 1st team to score wins.

sounds good or does it need work on.
ps i hope this doesnt end up like my usuall threads and gets 4 replys, max.

Four winters? Man, unless there's some major lag going on it only takes me a couple seconds to shoot something in the chat room. (Keypad for teh win-sauce) Seriously, you've got a faster connection than I, you should have no problem. Tongue

Once again, Ubi is to blame for our lack of game mode options... Seriously, doom had more options than this, and that was like... The First Online FPS ever!!!  You'd think we'd have advanced more than this by now....  Undecided

agreed. but is this all ubi's fault..? maby its the consumers. hmm? maby they didnt buy enough assassin creeds and now the consumer should get crap! i mean come on.
