It is a VERY SLIGHT amount it must be moved.  Whatever the smallest movement you can tilt the blocks is, is correct.  Then you just have to work on the spacing apart, which is different for a small elevator than a high one.  Look at elevator action...
The tall elevators aren't the same as the one coming up through the floor.  I had to alter the spacing to make them work when stacked like they are.  It took me over an hour to get right.

However I will NEVER make another elevator.  I will just copy my own.

I think you tilt the blocks too much. That's the reason why some of mine don't work that well.

I made an elevator now didnt take that long Smiley .thanks Deez for saying it had to be a slight tilt i was moving them too much. when i had both pieces made i reset tilt to see their angles & used undo to put them back then i adjusted 1 pieces angle then they worked well when i got them the right distance.my elevator is easy to get into & its a smooth ride if you dont hold forward Cheesy

Yeah I worked on it for over an hour, then I watched the video again...
...that time I took heed to where it said it has to be the slightest movement possible.
Went back and, buyaka!!  Worked like a charm.
