At first I was pretty skeptical but I decided to try it out.
It's $49.99 for a year and $17.99 for 3 months.

It gives you some exclusive stuff. A 60-minute full-game trail on some games for free. Discounts on various stuff. Plus a couple games completely free. Wipeout HD, Rally Cross (PS1 game), and Age of Zombies (Some mini game thing.)

Since Wipeout HD is usually $20 I went ahead with it as getting that one game on a discount.
In 3 months they ought to have added enough stuff for me to see if I want to keep paying or not.

The clincher is that even though you got the games free, they won't let you play them if your subscription to PS Plus runs out. Bummer.  Ah well, chances are, I'll be done with these games in three months.

PS Plus doesn't seem to add any features or anything other than discounts and free stuff.
I think for the $18 I put into it, it should be worth it. If I don't think it's worth it after 3 months, I'll just cancel it.

Well, that is a major bummer. The whole point is to keep people signed up I guess.

I'm guessing there's a time restriction on the game that syncs up with your subscription time. Once it runs out then you can't use it.

That's mainly why I decided to try the 3 month option and as I said, I'll probably be done with these games in less than three months.
Very few games can pull me away from the ones I get stuck on. Currently I'm stuck on FC2 and most other games are just temporary distractions. lol

Still, they said stuff like themes and avatars and such are yours to keep forever. Not like that really matters though.
