Still waiting on a low priced copy on ebay.

I love BFBC2 as a game but the lag for me at the moment is unbearable, seriously unplayable.

And it seems it's only this game too, even MAG which lagged like crazy before is fine now, but BC2 has gone down the loo pipe along with a rather nasty blockage.

This game is great fun. The obligatory comparison  to MW2: I'll get that out of the way. This game does have it's issues. (Spawns aren't great but at least you choose where you spawn) But I prefer bigger maps than the ones on MW2, especially for the number of players there are. Hell on MW2 I'll be getting spawn-killed with only 3 people when I'm playing splitscreen. Kill a dude, he respawns behind me, nearby, looking in my direction, always. 

Anyway, this one is great fun, a lot more team-based. (no free for all modes) Vehicles play a large part with tanks, jeeps, atvs, boats, and helicopters.

The gamplay is smooth and precise. It plays a lot better than the beta I tried a long while ago.

I've already had some highlights that you'll likely not find in any other game. And these were within my first couple of matches.

First match, it was a snowy map, I was hiding in a building trying to defend the center base on the map. I can hear this helicopter tearing stuff up outside. I hear it get closer and closer until it comes smashing through the wall and ends up upside-down in the center of the building. The pilot gets out but I shoot him of course.  No clue what that guy was smoking to make him fly through a building but it was hilarious. I could hardly aim straight to shoot him I was laughing so hard.

The other was a few matches in. I generally use the engineer kit so I've got the repair drill at all times. I love scaring tank drivers out of their tanks by grinding on them only to steal the tank when they get out and kill them with it. Anyway, I'm sneaking around and find two dirty, lousy campers set up in the top of a building. They're so focused on sniping that they didn't notice me come up and drill one guys face in with the repair tool. Since the other guy didn't care, I figured he wanted a face-drill as well. I didn't even know you could kill someone with the drill let alone that there was a trophy for doing so. I'll bet those guys are gonna mess their pants next time they go to the dentist.

A very nice selection of weapons and gadgets help this game out. Really sweet graphics but I think they over-contrasted everything too much. There's also too much glow on stuff like grass and rocks for my liking.

So many different tactics to try out, I'll be having fun with this game for a long time.

It's hard to tell what he was doing. Alot of selfish players use them like transports, and jump out when they get where they needed to go. In rush mode, players will load them up with C4 stuck to the front then fly them directly into MCOM stations to destroy them. Or maybe he just sucked as a pilot  


Try sneaking up on wookies and use the medics paddles to kill them, great fun  


I don't care for the graphics much, seems the same or worse than BC1. Maybe its just because I can't see anyone in that jungle crap. The audio more than makes up for it though. No other game can match the sound of battle like this can.


Not sure where you are in the world, but you should check your profile on the EA site to make sure it has you in the correct region (US, UK, etc). If it's correct and you are still lagging only on this game, then change it to another region. When I had trouble with the US servers, I switched my region to UK on the EA site. When you start BFBC2, it assigns you to the servers based on that profile. I had much better games on the UK server until they finally got the US ones working right...might improve it for you too.

Well, I just picked this up from Ebay for $25.  Don't know when I'll have time to play it, but I'll have it now.

Yup.  I assume, I'll have it within the week.
Missed a RDR though.  Went for under $30.  Watching a few more though.  I know I probably shouldn't be buying games when I still need a car, but if I can get it for less than $25, I'm going to.

If it's new and in the package, then it should come with a VIP code which you'd otherwise have to purchase.

The VIP code will let you get new maps for free. But the maps are basically ones already there just st up for each mode.

Example: you had Map A for Conquest and Map B for Rush. You now unlock Map B for conquest and Map A for Rush. Kinda stupid in my opinion as they're just activating what was already there. But that's EA far ya, they stick around so I have just the slightest reason to not call Ubisoft one of the most annoying companies ever. lol
