Who's ready first?

I just finished clearing everything out of the previous template, flattening the ground, and now I'm going to make one more alphabet.  I'm ready to send it off at that point.

Whoever can do their part the quickest, I'll probably give it to first.

Probably not me, it's late tonight and tomorrow and the next day are gonna be busy...

Timeline for template creation:

2010-03-23                       - template ready for contributors

2010-03-23 9pmCST           - template sent to bongobreak

2010-03-24 10pmCST         - template received from bongobreak
     He made some really nice elevators, an escalator, a motorized walkway, and a spiral staircase
     with instructions.

2010-03-24 11pmCST         - template given to Negrumir

2010-03-25 9pmCST           - template received from Negrumir
     He made a nice looking log cabin with an optional snowy roof along with a drop hole that you
     can't die in.

2010-03-25 9pmCST           - template given to yoz303303

template given to OSAMASTYLEZ directly from yoz
     yoz made 2 sets of items, which I will obviously have to delete one.  But I think I'll keep the one
     that has directions for making some circular items.  Now that glitch block will have to stay out
     of bounds, it would be really annoying to get stuck in a game.  I'll keep the clusterbomb without
     the underground room it's in.

2010-03-28 11amCST         - template received from OSAMASTYLEZ
     He made a custom 4 story guard tower out of wood.  It's nicely constructed.

2010-03-28 12pmCST         - template given to jumodu94

2010-04-02 7pmCST          - jumodu wasn't happy with what he made so far, so I gave the
     template to C_H_E_R_U_B1-1.

2010-04-03 10amCST         - template received from C_H_E_R_U_B1-1.  He built a tower with an
     elevator and a fence around the base.

Alright, I found it way too difficult to email the template and get it to work.  Maybe it's regional or something, but I'll just publish it for a minute and then the next one in line can get it at that time.

I tried several times to open the emailed file (using a usb stick), but to no avail - not sure why.
DEEZ may well be right about some sort of regional thing that seems to be passed through via email but not when downloaded from host or ubi.
The map file appears in the saved data utility directory of my PS3 as a custom map with thumbnail and specs etc., but was nowhere to be seen in my FC2 map list.

I did however, successfully copy a map of my own from PC to PS3, and this opened fine in FC2.  Undecided
I'm really stumped by this, I've never had a problem downloading map files from fcmaps, and they are essentially identically prepared (winrar/zip etc) - must be some sort of email filter thing maybe (sorry....got technical there Grin )

Briefly publishing the map seems to be the way forward for now, until someone figures it out.

hey deez i got your email and tried opening the file....no show..
i`m also not so techie....you can start a private match and then i can save the map its a bit of a pain i know but its  most straight ff....plz give it(4 you)early in the day..i`m 8h ahead of you in time...tnx

yoz, I'll message you when bongo returns the map to me so I can briefly publish it for you to grab it.

We're just going to do it that way, it's much easier and way less complicated.

yeah, and 2k limit per contributor. 

I think I realized why I can't email a map to bongobreak.  Or anybody else with a different region coded ps3.  The same reason the games won't work on different region coded ps3's.  That's gotta be it, because I was able to get a map from maxpower emailed to me.

LOL Deez I was just gonna post the "turn autosnap off", infact I was gonna suggest "typing" the message in the template using ur alfabet, and maybe even set the snapshotcam(starting position camera in editor) directly infront of that message. It would make a dull snapshot however Smiley
