Reality is where the pizzaman comes from.

Old, but good. One of the best open world games ever made.
As for the old graphics, there are several mods that can push them to a state-of-the-art-condition.

I'm currently having fun with a mission creator tool, which I'm going to use to create a machinima.

I've got this on Ps2, well i got every GTA up to GTA 4.

San andreas is realy good, I usualy play the mission until i've unlocked every area, and then I just have fun causing mayhem or going after the "easter eggs".

I cant wait for red dead redemption, the area size is even larger then san andreas Smiley

I'll get RDR.
The REAL free roaming experience is going to be Just Cause 2 though from what I've seen. 1000² km island with different climate zones and unlimited freedom.

These are screens from GTA Alien City.

- MotoBlackjack, a minigame in which you have to score exactly 21 points by pushing in the cards with a motorcycle.
- Car basketball.

Well, I finally got GTA San Andreas. It was in a pack with GTA 3 and Vice City as well. Smiley

Score one for being too lazy to order something online... wait, what? Tongue

Did you check out some mods already?

I finally got a decent controller (pretty much a PS2 controller).
It works nicely.
For some reason, this game runs poorly despite my computer stomping on the system requirements. Maybe it's too new. I'll mess with stuff and see if I can make it do right.
Downloading the alien City mod.

Any other mods worth getting?

I also have GTA 3 and Vice city for PC, if there's anything worth checking out on them, let me know.

Sounds cool. You got AA enabled or so? Weird... it even runs normally on my old laptop which has got a 1,6 GHz processor and only ~300 MB graphics card.

make sure you download the right version of the AC mod too, there's two versions... one that has the map only, and the other which has all the stuff including missions and scripts.

http://www.moddb.com/mods/grand-theft-auto-anderius

I assume you dl'ed it from here? If so, then it's the right version. Not sure if they updated it with english subtitles.... haven't played it for long.

You should probably make multiple installations of SA on your comp.  Tongue

Another mod definitely worth getting: Snow Andreas. Turns entire SA into a snowy landscape, replaces ALL weapons and vehicles, and adds a huge mountain area. There is even a variety of snow storms and all that. http://games.softpedia.com/get/Mods-Addons/GTA-San-Andreas-Mod-Pack-RC8-Snow-Andreas.shtml

Last but not least: DYOM - Design Your Own Mission. Title says it all. Awesome mod. You can make your own proper missions with cutscenes, pickups, AI, checkpoints, time limits... etc etc etc, and that without having to code tons of lines. http://dyom.gtagames.nl/ It even has an object placer tool.

Sweet. I could've sworn I had already got these but I guess not.

Was there not a mod that updated the graphics and such?

There was, it's called ENB mod. Make sure you optimize the configuration of it well, so your comp can run it.

I once had 2 different ENB mod configs, one of them lagged like hell, and the other one ran smoothly, but looked exactly like the other one in game.

Combined with the AC mod, it'll give ya true eye candy. I'll look up where to find that good one.

I already have it. Was wondering if I have the right one. Yup, it lagged like a bitch so I guess I'd have to adjust a lot of stuff. It mainly  just made everything look all glowy and blurred. I don't know if I feel like messing with it.

Anyway, for some reason the game doesn't like running in resolutions higher than 800 x 600 on my PC. Lags annoyingly in high density areas but if I drop the resolution it runs fine. I dunno.
