Hard to describe, but here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqJu_3CPhC4It's on one of the radio stations in GTA IV. It doesn't really sound like a techno sub-genre.

Actually working on some verses for my friends album as we speak. Once I get a song made I will use it as my next soundtrack for a video of mine.

Metallica is probably my favourite band of all time, the guitar licks and solos they come up with are awesome(I play guitar) but the only metallica song I can play is "Nothing else matters"... the faster stuff is beyond me at the mo. Their lastest album is brilliant! Much better than St Anger!
I also like "System of a Down" but I also like sixties music like the 'Stones', "The Beatles" and "The doors".

I can listen to everything but: most country, whiney English music, R&B, and any other boy bands.
I only listened to rap until I was about 17.

lol, i never liked pure R&B either, but Funk has some elements of R&B in it, which is ok to me. Country sounds cheesy to me, but there are some exceptions that are ok. What do you mean by "whiney english music"? lol. When i was a small child i was listening to classical music only, then stopped listening to music at all for a while. At the age of 10 i liked 80s rock and blues. At the age of 13-14 i've been listening to rap sometimes (nowadays i cannot understand why the heck i liked that). Since the age of 15 until today i'm listening to Jazz-Funk. Quite a story lol, but my music taste won't change anymore.

Man I heard some totally crap English rap one time on Live365.
I know the verse said something like, "I sit on my couch like I know how." That was a running joke for some time at my work place.
