But that "Techno Disco"... seriously. Only thing missing there is 50 people on dope clustered in one room, hopping to it like crazy.  Lips Sealed Sorry, I had to say that...  Tongue

I happen to enjoy the music... just without the other 49 people and the dope. Smiley
It is kinda repetitive, but then, yes, it's more like club music than anything else.

For the JC2 and techno fans: check this out. Cheesy

They used voices from the JC2 mini docs and mixed them with a techno-style tune.

Those are in-game tracks from NFS games. The first one is a driving rock tune from NFS 2, absolutely loved it when I was a kid, still awesome. The second one is a groovy electro chill track from NFS High Stakes. The third one is a kind of rock-style tune from NFS 3 which I also like, especially the beginning of it.

Absolutely love it. Best chill-out song ever.

Bah, this hasn't been posted in for 120 days? So? It's still the top of the page in this section.

I should've posted here more though.
Just found Ratatat, no idea why I've never heard of them before. Excellent music. Sort of hard to classify what genre, there's a bit of electronica in some of the songs but they're quite varied and that's not the main genre. Not sure what is though. The kind of stuff that stoners would absolutely love, but in a good way. Also, the videos from their main channel are undoubtedly inspired by sort drug use. Music is still wicked cool though. It's almost like what I think hip-hop should be (without lyrics) and a mix of Mexican music and some funk in there.

Just started going through all their music and these are some of the ones that stood out to me. I'd recommend listening to everything you can find by them though. Smiley

Also some excellent "Acid Jazz" as they call it. From probably the only other game on PS1 that I would hold close to NFS3... R4 Ridge Racer Type 4. Over 100 cars, excellent tracks, probably the best graphics for a racing game on PS1, and beautiful music to boot.

I still miss the good old days of games. Sucks that I can say that at my age. I wouldn't think I'd be doing that 'til my later years.

Hey, those Ridge Racer soundtracks are sick!

If I could describe them, I'd say it's Jazz House. Awesome. Yeah I don't mind a bit of a clubby house beat along with mah Funk.

The first one and the last one are my favorites.

lol probably because I'm the biggest music addict in here, essentially I spend half my free time listening to teh funky stuff.

Haven't posted anything here for long though, yet it's interesting to see what other people like.

If I find some more, I might post some more Jazz House here, which I really enjoy since quite a while ago.

Cheesy

Compilation of Groovitron songs from Ratchet & Clank. I don't like all of them, but have 2 favorites.

My favorites: 1:01 - 1:30, 1:46 - 2:17

Both go pretty much into the direction of disco pop, but hey if it's well made, I don't mind it.

(From 1:46 to 2:17: No that's not two different tracks, it's 2 different parts of one track stitched together in a weird way).

Must... not...double...post.

Crap.

Pretty Lights. Wow, just found this guy last night at 2:00 AM. Remixes, techno, house, hip-hop (good stuff too), a bit of slow jazz. Good music with feeling and effort put into it. What's even better, they have it all for free download from their site.
