Reality is where the pizzaman comes from.

« on: March 05, 2009, 11:02:06 AM »

I've noticed that every now and then people are getting banned from games because they're winning.
One jealous or angry player votes to kick, and in the majority of cases, 70-80% would agree coz they want to boost their
kills/chances to win.

This is very annoying! Ubi should change the voting system (my opinion), whereas some ppl should change their attitude and grow up
instead of going berserk at the winner/top scorer.

Another thing that's being annoying is the "abort-the-game-vote". Some people gatecrash a party just to spoil it by voting for termination.
I don't get the point of that.

And apart from that, only one vote per match should be allowed in my opinion; it can be a pain in the ass when several people
are voting for the same thing, one after another.

What do you think? Is the voting system in fc2 good? Or should ubi do something to improve/change it?
Post your ideas or opinions here.

I agree. The banning system needs to be overhauled.

I havn't had any issues with people being kicked from games when they were winning though, maybe I'm just managing to play with the right people. If this is happening on a regular basis, it should be dealt with in some way.

Not too sure what way would be most fair though... Perhaps some sort of temporary ban (like, 24 hours or something) for a repeat offender from Ubisoft online would work. Only problem is that a solution like that would require the use of resources, which I'm sure they wouldn't want to use (especially in today's economy).

I guess we just need to tough it out.

I've had several ranked matches against ppl who like to go ballistic with their guns without thinking about tactics.
"Funnily enough", many of them often try to get rid of top scorers.
For example; not long ago when i was on a ranked Deathmatch; there was a guy running
towards me several times, he didn't shoot me once. I was lucky at that time and needed 3 kills to win. The result: He voted to kick and
60% agreed. I've lost about 400 XP.

Now for the problem: You can't deal with it. Asking them for the reason? Unnecessary, unless you want them to insult you.

Actually you're right, we need to tough it out. Either until ubi would change something, or until some people would change
their minds and stop doing nonsense.

The voting ban system shouldn't be in place in ranked games.  It is a way for groups of people who suck to make sure they get good rankings and that's it.  I have yet to see it help a game.

I have been just points away from victory before the host of the match banned me so as he could win, ever noticed its mostly level 8s and above who cant take being beaten once in a while? also DM is notorious for bannings.

I've also had it happen, where i'd join a deathmatch or something and be the highest ranking guy in the room and then suddenly I'd be banned.  Before the match even started.  I don't know if it was was just a coincidence or if I was banned because they were afraid I'd do better than them or what...  but it used to happen all the time.

Idiocy strikes again, I got myself into a stupid situation today by owning the other team, which apparently was constituted of little asswipes that cried after getting killed. One of them (ACKMEDD) got owned so bad that he couldn't resist voting to ban me. Well, too bad. As I joined w/ my other account he was gone. Good for him.

Again a good example that shows the idiocy of the voting system (and yet more idiocy of some noobs out there).

Yeah that was stupid.  That dude is good, but you're almost untouchable in this game.  I guess he couldn't handle it.

Get dead!

« Reply #9 on: February 21, 2010, 12:05:21 AM »

I'm thinking of just keeping voting off when I host and play (instead of dedicated) Only use it has for me is changing the captain in uprising... which I almost never play.

Sounds like a stupid story but it's funny at the same time. lol

Second accounts for the win.

I was wondering why you were playing on that account earlier.

I did almost get banned when I blew up three teamates in yoz's map a couple days ago.
I sort of desarved it but I did kill an enemy too and he died after my teamates so we got a point. (Beginning of the match.)

Far Cry Predator on 360 had no kick player feature where the other games on Xbox 1 did.
In a feedback forum with Ubisoft everyone invited stated that the game should have a kick option, what was happening in Predator was players killing the same team and singing and just been over the top annoying and we could not boot them.

To get around it we invented this rule where every player or both sides would just attack them until they left but it didn't always work.

Ubisoft added in the kick player but unfortunately it gets abused, there should only be one person who can boot players and that should be the host, you should also get a message saying that you have been booted by the host.

FC2 has too many annoying things - hopefully they will get it right with FC3

Yeah, but what if you join a game with a stupid host? I've seen that too.
That's why I'd like a kicking system like in GTA IV, in which players are not prompted to vote.

Also the host should be able to view a "banned" list and "unban" players.

I don't know what RreuH was thinking today when he banned me from his match for owning the other team.

Really didn't expect this from him, as he is usually fair.

Maybe he didn't do it or it was an accident?
