I started using the PKM in the past time. It's weaker than the SAW but man, you can 'snipe' with that thing. Not to mention it totally rocks on close combat.
100 shots are enough to burst through crowds of enemies.

Still, i do not consider this as a reason for hating this gun, only because of getting owned by it.
Always remember that every single gun requires one thing: skill.

far cry 2 s**** balls since the patch so im gona stop playing,why did they bother weakening the mgl(a needed change i think) when they just overpower the ar16? every1s using the ar16 cos its better then the commandos rifle(which takes ages to kill anywhere except 10 ft away)at every range & is seems to beat the snipers. i ugrade commando without thinking then realize i have no chance in hell cos its useless cos i cant get near enough for the gun to do anything before i die. i catch my opponent off guard & get the 1st shot but even then my opponent turns round & knocks half my health out. i remember healing gun_relik & guy with the ar16 comes behind me & kills us both with about 5 shots if he had a any other class(except saw) he would have needed to reload afterwards. something that was good about the saw was that u can kill ppl without needing to reload but the ar16s even better in that aspect cos it has like the quickest reload ever.

Choice of weapon = AR-16 + IED
ive killed 7 players with IED several times in this game.
when i first started to play this game i used AK-47 with grenade launcher and mastered it, now for me the only weapon of choice is my AR-16 , in the right hands it beats all weapons hands down , if i got a group of n00bs running around with SAW then i just switch to USAS-12 and blow them off the map.

I completely agree with you pulse, the AR-16 is my absolute favourite.

I have found it to be extremely accurate at medium and fairly long range - almost sniper accurate when firing a single shot.

Very little recoil even in three shot burst fire.

It's also great for no-scoping at short range and whilst running - I've had pretty good success with this method.

I have found that you get the maintenance upgrade well before the weapon begins to jam, so it's reliable too.

I just wish I had some skills with the IED or the silenced pistol - I really can't hit anything with these, so I end up using the AR-16 almost exclusively.

But I think I would like to master the 50-cal sniper eventaully though - I've been taken out many times by DEEZ over very long ranges - lucky shots I guess  Wink Grin That weapon in the right hands can do some serious damage.

Still though, my weapons: Dart gun + silent pistol. That combo will own AR-16 and everything else, if used right.

Reason #3: Makarov
Reason #4: FLAMETHROWER!! (LPO something-or-other)
Reason #5: MGL-140
Reason #6: Cool goggles and mask. Cheesy

I like every gun in the class.

The RPG is a blast to use. Tongue
The Uzi is the best side arm in the game.
I love Pistols and the Makarov is my favorite in this game. (It would be the Star .45 if only it fired as fast as it did in the single player.)
You really can't argue with a flamethrower... I don't use it often for fear of being banned. People tend to think the LPO as cheap and annoying. I know at least one person who shares my views on what is "Cheap and annoying" in this game.  Wink
The MGL-140 is a beast and the longest range gun in the entire game. Unfortunately, it doesn't own quite as much as it did without hardcore mode. Still, once you learn how it handles, you can put the shot anywhere you can see.

A bonus is that this is one of the classes that has grenades instead of Molotovs. We all know how useful molotovs are...

My favorite guns outside of this class are the Homeland 37, the FAL, and the M1903.

If the Guerrilla class had the Uzi instead of the Mac 10 I'd probably never use anything else.

Well, joke apart. I don't think the flamethrower is cheap either, it's actually one of the hardest weapons to handle. Flamethrower on a big map = a real challenge... compared to some real cheap guns... like the clatter gun (it is not only cheap, but also sounds like some sort of broken tractor engine Tongue)

I've played FC2 on PC a few days ago. 95% of the players use the clatter gun there. The servers got mostly one thing in common: A "no flamethrower, rocket, GL... or banned" rule. Cheap.
If I was that intolerant while hosting, the server would be empty all the time ]:-)

That's just because they can't make their maps good enough with balance for all weapons.
Banning specific weapons is retarded.  Unless you were to set the game to only one specific weapon that everybody has to use; just for a challenge of course.  But they are probably banning those weapons because they can't keep track of that many different types of possible attacks to watch out for when they're camping.
