Not sure.  OnR should be next, but I don't remember if I heard something about them holding off on it or not.  I'll host one again once I get a new ps3 and finish the template2.

Should be OnR next, then FCMAPS, back to cdeezgames.com, and then B3E.

I really like the maps that came out of this natural theme.  Definitely a good theme to go with.

yeah me too ,back to basics
you made 2 excellent maps deez...i really enjoyed your maps and i think its one off the best maps made for fc2 so far...
i can c this map ending up to be popular map...it is something every one can relate to in the editor only to find out its very difficult to pull off.....and i realy like the rock textures you used to make the mountens, its much harder to make a good natural map then it is making a bridge or arena becouse you have more freedom in creating something like a bridge....

maybe it would be fun to host a totm and be more specific about the theme ex a dessert or jungle etc  that way you get basicly the same kind of maps and the best ones realy stick out when you look or play them....when the rules get bend  you get all different kind of maps(not bad ones)....thats what i really liked of the BFB theme...20 different bridges...also fun to host something like that in my perspective....becouse basicly you made 2(ganja farm) of the same maps but they play totaly different and its hard to host them mixed if you know what i mean...1 round the snipers are leaving becouse its a small level next round the run and gunners leave becouse its 2 big(a good map will support all)(not all maps do)

Thanks for the critique.
I'm going to be itching to make another map by the time I get a new ps3.
It will probably be a month or two.  Gotta get a car first.

I'm itching to make another map now lol - I've started two more already

I can't wait for the next TOTM too, where ever it may be held, and I would gladly help organise the next one here too. I've met all you great people here at DEEZs and on the other sites through these TOTM comps, it's great to see the best mappers in the business pull together and continue to make such great maps Smiley

Good luck with your PS3 DEEZ Smiley hope you get it fixed / replaced soon.

With the voting idea now in use it really isn't that hard to do a TOTM.

Hosting maps isn't a problem as a bunch of people do both hosting and playing.

Although, I really liked the small write-ups for each map. Perhaps I'll do those because they don't seem to be part of it anymore. Am I getting nostalgic about something that happened less than a year ago?  Man... I don't even have old age as an excuse to fall back on. Tongue

Since all the maps are in I'll probably do a short write-up for each.

And yes, I too, am itching to make more maps. I've got bunches  that I really want to do but it's so hard to get started. One in particular I'm the farthest along in certainly wouldn't fit in any TOTM category. Unless that category was "maps that look like the result of a crazy drug trip" LOL

Maybe we should have a co-op competition where teams of two can try and build the best map between them. It might be hard to do as most everyone is from a different time zone and it'd be hard to decide who you wanted to work with if they wanted to work with someone else. Still, I'm just putting that idea out there.

me2 and its great to c that the ones that made the game great for me still playing today!!!! not including myself  Cheesy
i`m really sad that i did not join you all a few years back  i scrolled over some sites including this one and never signed up any where....i played a lot off maps made by all of you over time..i always taught that you all where some ubi workers pissing me off whit perfect maps.... Grin and i`m surprised that i never heard or seen any of your maps bongo and i believe if you started publishing a few years back, we would have seen a ranked map made by bongobreak....

well, we can always host something on cdg and keep the juices flowing for everyone  i like the site vs site idea  first cdg makes a crazy well defended structure of 20k or18 each and keep something for the terrain and then the next site builds there thing
you can divide the 18k under your clan

Thanks for your kind words yoz, I didn't start publishing seriously until only about six months ago - before then I had the game on 360, but didn't connect to XBOX live so I just learned the editor, and when my 360 died I then got the game on the PS3 and worked in the editor for over a year before I finally had the courage to publish lol. My early maps were so bad, I think to have published them when I made them would have been in breach of some international law of human rights or something lol - they were criminally bad  Grin

@ Neg, I like the idea of a co-op TOTM, that could be really good, time zones are a pain and could make it trickier, but it's definitely worth thinking about.
I always enjoy reading your write-ups Neg, you're very fair and impartial - not like me lol, I always say stuff like "superb map, awesome, plays beautifully etc..." lol - but that is what I think though, I'm constantly in awe of the map skills you guys have Smiley I find it quite difficult to be critical even though it is probably the right thing to do - I certainly appreciate criticism of my maps if it's fair and helpful, which yours always are Neg Smiley
I can't wait to see your 'drug trip' map too - sure it may not be suitable for TOTM, but I'm sure it will be hilarious  Grin

Well it's gotta have mushrooms.
My ps3 might be out of commission for awhile.

I don't mind if you want to host another TOTM here though.  But let's wait to see if OnR or FCMAPS is going to do one next.

I think on a co-op contest, we'll need two months, just in case it's difficult for anybody to send the maps back and forth.

I would have made some small write ups if I had the time.
Your write ups are always good Negrumir.  I think it would be great if you did that.

Well... a good sign actually happened.
My brother in law spilled a beer on my laptop 4 or 5 months ago.
And I just fired it up for the first time today, and it worked.
I had checked it about 3 weeks after it got all wet and it was still damp so I didn't plug it back in then.

It's OnR's turn to host now. I'll message Robeir to let him know.

If they are out of this now, then I'll come up with something for fcmaps.

My woman dropped her phone in the cup holder in her car one time.  But the cup holder had a cup of grape juice in it, lol.
Another time we were getting ready for work and leaving the house.  She set her 44oz fountain drink on the roof of her car.  We got in and were about to pull out of the driveway when she opened the sunroof.  BLAM goes the exploding drink that was sitting on top of the sunroof.  The drink literally exploded on impact with the console.
I laughed my @$$ off, because she did it of course.  It would've been my @$$ if I had left it on the roof.
