The top 3 maps were as follows.

1st - Bridge The Gap by bongobreak. Grin

2nd - Battle Bay by CaptainDEEZ

3rd - B3E Storm The Gates by Robeir1983

The overall scoring for the 10 maps from Round 2 looked like this below.

Bridge the Gap 10
Battle Bay 9
Storm the Gates 8
Turnpike Terror 7
Parch to Plenty 7
Military Convoy 7
B3E BF Bridge 4
*Liberty* 3
Knutsel Bridge 3
OnR Faction Crossing 1

Overall there were 22 maps submitted - all of quality and well worth checking out.
This was just a monthly Theme but you guys pushed this into a mini contest because of the amount of entries and the hunger shown from the authors we decided to use a judging and voting system.

We have taken on board feedback and if we ever get around to running another Them it might be an idea to not allow the judges to submit an entry.

We are still open to feedback good or bad - please post your thoughts.

Hopefully over the weekend we will be getting a write up on the 3 top placed maps and we are working on a question/answer profile spotlight on the winner - I might also be able to twist someones arm into making a video of the winning map also.

One thing would be good is if sometime we all jump into a match and play these maps through again sometimes - make sure you put some in your rotations when hosting, there is not a bad map among them, they are all worthy competitors.

Thanks once again for taking your time to put together a map for this, I understand how time consuming these things are - you gave us all some fun times playing through and checking out your work.

Now support DEEZ and his Theme at cdeezgames.com
After that I think B3E will be running their own Theme so there is plenty to get your teeth into.

Congrats to Bongobreak - and thanks again to everyone who helped make this such a fine Theme, it shows this game is far from dead.

For the Judges - you guys know how much time you put in and how difficult it was cutting down maps - we did not all agree and it was touch and go for some, cheers you made things a lot easier then if I did this myself.

Thankyou very much to everyone who took part and voted in this brilliant competition - it has been a great experience from day 1.
I had never imagined that my humble map would make it to the top spot - I get a buzz just designing and making maps, so to win the BFB TOTM is truly a great honour - thanks to everyone for making it a thrilling competition.
Well done DEEZ and Rob for completing the top three, they are superbly designed maps.
All maps are incredibly well made and creative, shame they can't all be winners, they are all worthy, with so many terrific and varied features.
Massive respect to the judges panel for all your hard work - it must have been a near impossible task to narrow down such a fantastically high quality array of maps. Kudos to you good sirs Wink
And a special thanks to Champ for tirelessly organising such a great event - you are a credit to the FC2 mapping community.

Lets get busy on DEEZs next TOTM  Smiley

I'm making a video of these 3 maps.  A little late, but I'll have it uploaded sometime tomorrow.

Thanks DEEZ and Champ, really nice work.

Loved the 'old scratchy film' effect Champ - goes well with the music Wink
