Hi jumodu Smiley

I wasn't sure if the theme was natural as in just terrain/collections/natural brushes only, so I checked with ktulu on B3E site, and he said that we can use anything in the editor, it just has to resemble a map that would fit with the Far Cry 2 Single Player mode - so villages/towns etc is fine also Smiley

I'm sure you know this, I just thought I'd clarify it (for my own benefit really Tongue ) I wasn't sure if we could use buildings etc. Smiley

Looking forward to seeing your work jumodu, I'm sure it's excellent Smiley

Sounds great yoz - can't wait to see it Smiley
I'll grab your map and shoot some video over the weekend for the CDG video section Smiley

Thanks yoz - it didn't take very long to make - I 'borrowed' the swirly background from a digital free art website, and simply copy/pasted the DEEZ logo in there, and added the appropriate text - easy Tongue

Are you putting the image code in? You need to make sure your image-host link is in the squared brackets with IMG typed in.

eg.

Thanks jumodu - I used photoshop CS3 - the DEEZ font is called Bleeding Cowboys. Click here

The Far Cry font can be found by Clicking here

Btw, your sig is pretty cool too, but check out Negs - it's extremely good, he wins the sig competition....if there was one  Tongue Grin

*post just to show off his sig*

Nah just kidding, it's actually a fairly simple method to get it animated like that.
What program do you use for image editing bongo?

Glad to see some more maps popping up.
Yeah, I was kinda in the same boat as bongo, I was sure it was singleplayer themed but everyone just called it natural  so I was a bit anxious about my not very natural map and how it would qualify. I checked Ktulu's post at B3E again just to be sure. lol

And jumodu, good luck. I think you might be too creative to make a map as boring as Ubi's maps. Tongue
Seriously though, checking out some of Ubi's maps isn't a bad idea. I've been going through the singleplayer again to get refreshed on how Ubi detailed the maps and locations. Ubi's maps aren't bad at all, some of them are quite fun really. They just aren't very nice looking or artistic in any way.  Mainly they all look trashed and full of junk and the main color is brown, not very appealing to me.

[unrelated] If FC3 is still gonna be in Africa (which I've heard) I hope they include some cities. Yes, Africa does, in fact, have some big cities. It might be neat to see  if or how they work that in. [/unrelated]

Yeah, I like the sig bongo.  If you want the vector version of my logo I can send it to anybody interested.
It's done in Illustrator CS4, but saved as a pdf file.

I'm using Photoshop CS3 - I have tried to animate GIFs (using JASC Animation Shop), but I have to painstakingly create every frame in photoshop, then import - it never looks right. If you could point me in the right direction to how you did yours, I'd be eternally grateful Neg Smiley

Thanks DEEZ, and I'd love the vector version of the logo, would be very handy for video credits etc. I'm not too good with illustrator, but pdf files will be fine in photoshop too I believe.

I won't be able to make it until later DEEZ, I'll check when I get on again in about an hour or so, hopefully you'll still be on - if not no biggie Smiley

We did get a chance to play your map tonight DEEZ, ktulu over at B3E hosted some great maps including yours - which is superb - it really felt like the single player mode, you've captured the feel perfectly, very nice work Smiley
Yoz's SP map was also excellent, and again looked and felt just like the single player game.

It's called CDG Turnover.

I've shot some video of it, which I'll post in the CDG video section here.
