Here is the video I shot for the 6 finalists.

It is my first video production and I know the winner has been announced, but I thought it would make a nice showcase for the maps that made it through to the second round.

I'm sure there will be a special video of Negrumirs winning map and the runners up too.

But for now here are the 6 finalists

Hope you like it Smiley

Neat video Bongo.  Is that a video effect or are the cables lose causing that wobble?

@ Artist_G Oh yeah? Well you're lucky I didn't use the whole month to work on my map. Tongue (I'm too lazy for all that.)

I'd love to say it was a special effect, but it isn't lol

If you mean those unsightly wobbly lines occasionally - I think that is a side effect of having to run the video through some conversion software first before editing, I'm not happy with it really, but it's all the video I had at the time. I cut huge amounts out to avoid it, but I had to use it otherwise there would have been very little to work with.

If you mean the 'camera wobble', that is an off camera explosion of a grenade or RPG, but because I dropped the sound out completey, it seems like the camera is just wobbling lol. The quality of the sound was quite poor - I could have cleaned it up, but I chose to leave it out - a mistake perhaps.
I will include some sound cues on future video since it can be a bit confusing without it.

Btw, love the sig Neg, very smart Smiley

What do you use to edit? Windows Movie Maker? 'Cause if you do, you can capture straight to .wmv and not have to convert anything.

Nice video of the finalists.  Looks like I was the only one you killed for the first few minutes.
I like the chill music.  You got a lot of good perspectives of the maps.  What editor are you using?

Yeah, I plan on making a video, but I just haven't started yet.

What do you use to edit? Windows Movie Maker? 'Cause if you do, you can capture straight to .wmv and not have to convert anything.

I use MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 11 plus, which I've been using for years and know it quite well - it isn't too difficult to use and it can do a whole load more than movie maker eg. time-stretch audio re-sampling etc, variable speed plus I can edit on up to 16 audio/video tracks for complex titles and effects.

For some reason my video capture card does not like movie maker, and so I can't use it to capture - I have to use the bundled software, which although captures in MPEG2, doesn't seem to be compatible with MAGIX. I have to convert from one form of MPEG2 to a compatible form of MPEG2. It makes no sense I know, but at the moment it is a working system (granted with a few visual creases to iron out) so I daren't mess with it too much because it might decide to not work at all - it's done that before lol. I don't pretend to be very technical about this kind of stuff, but as the saying goes....'If it aint broke....etc' Wink

@DEEZ, thanks, I think you posted just before me  Grin I hope the above will answer your question  Wink

And I'm sorry that you featured as my chosen enemy lol, honestly that's just the way it worked out - I didn't have much to do with it Grin
(If you believe that, you'll believe anything Cheesy Grin )
