Well I have posted my 2 Grid Arena, but I'm going to make some changes to it again.  I need to look at my cannons and see how I can improve them so that they fire far each time.
Adding some other minor details, mainly on the base sides of the map as well.
--UPDATED--
If you have any suggestions for this map let me know.

Post the map you plan on entering in this section.

Final.  And example, because I'm not going to vote for my own map.
If somebody comes up with an awesome idea for it, I still have 15k left to use, but I see no need to at the moment.

You can't have auto-snap on when making an elevator or moving one.  It will ruin the elevator, because it's not straight.  It's tilted away from the other side of the elevator by a hair.  And I mean a hair, about the smallest amount you can tilt it.
As far as curved, you cannot lean the elevator and have it still work.
Now you can stack them in a row like a pyramid and go up and then down on the other side.  Or if you hold still you can pop up at any given area of the stretched elevator.

i checked the cannons in a multy player match..
maybe its better if you let the barrels fly out 2 ,one barrel got stuck in the cannon and it took 5 min before it respawn again
and why did you put the bar in the window Sad   (that was my route when we played it)

I will certainly grab your map DEEZ, it sounds intriguing, those cannons sound great - you can't beat some serious firepower - btw, I have heard and indeed found myself that the concrete pipes provide the best physics for the cannons (you already know this I'm sure) - they don't look too pretty, and they are bulky, but I've tried lots of different methods and always seem to come back to the concrete pipes, due to their range and accuracy.

I'm not sure if I could offer anything to your map DEEZ, but sometimes several pairs of eyes can shake something loose, creatively speaking of course.  Wink So with your permission I would love to play around, to see if 'anything happens'

I have been working with elevators for quite a while now, and I've just built some working escalators using the two sides of an elevator tilted at about 45 degrees - the distance between the floor of the escalator and the escalator itself is crucial to its smooth operation, however.
You need to place the floor so that the elevator comes to your 'waist' in test mode.

I have tested several different constructions of tilted elevator and they all seem to work pretty well.
I'm definitely going to try to build a curved one now though - that sounds like quite a challenge yoz  Smiley

Incidentally, the elevator glitch also works across a horizontal surface too - so you can build something like those moving walkways at airports. It's quite surreal to fly along the ground quickly without a vehicle.
As DEEZ has said regarding elevators - tiny, tiny tilts and always 'snap-off'  Smiley

I don't profess to be an expert, but I would be only too happy to make an elevator template map for anyone - just upload a (validated) blank, PM me the name of the blank, and I'll do the rest - you keep authors rights of course  Wink It might help if you can analyse one in the editor aswell as use the tutorial video.
I've made several already for friends, and I think they have helped in some way.

Check out my map   Worlds Fair NY  on fcmaps.net by way of credentials, in it I've used various designs of elevator, including ones allowing exit/entry at different floors (thanks to maxpower for that idea Smiley ) This map started as an architectural experiment, but then was expanded to a playable map - although it doesn't play that well.  I am, however, very happy with the structures etc, and they are architecturally accurate too, even though I've never been to the real Worlds Fair  Cheesy

That sounds like a great idea yoz, I've only worked two co-op maps, and both times I've found them to be great fun, and great maps.
Gimme a shout when you want to give it a try

Worlds fair NY won't be my entry for 2 grid - it's huge!!  I think it covers about 10-12 grid squares!! Shocked
The main (famous) structures - the pavillion and the observation towers (which are featured in the movie 'Men in Black' as flying saucers for the big boss bug at the end) might fit into 2 grids, but I had a heck of a time trying to get the count down to 10,000 per square, and as a result it lags quite badly in or around the towers, even with only a few players in, so unfortunately it isn't really a playable map - I just made it to see if I could  make it accurately, which I hope I did  Smiley

Outwards, yoz.

And bongo, that is a long story, but it sure explains a lot.
About the cannons.  I think I got mine right now.  They always shoot on top of the arena now.
I'm very interested to see the tilted elevator and the one that moves along the ground.
I've tried both myself without succeeding.
I was going to take elevator action and make a longer building that has the motorized walkways and escalators.  I just couldn't get them to work right.
You can play with my map as much as you like.
As far as exiting on floors, I've gotten used to how the elevators work.

Elevator rules:

1) Don't bounce in the elevator.  You will die.  (the game thinks you are falling, so when you touch
    ground you die.)
2) If you want to pass through on the same floor, run and slide.  You won't go up if done right.
3) Time your exits.  Start pressing forward near the end of the floor your're on if you want to exit
    on the next floor.

feel free to add anything I might have missed

I've just had a quick scout round your map DEEZ, and I'm truly impressed - you surely are one of the top mappers out there, great work Cap'n  Wink And quick too - how did you get it to such a level of detail in such a short time? It seems to take me forever to make what I would consider to be an OK map - you've made an excellent map in a fraction of the time.

I checked out your cannons and you seem to have made them work superbly without the use of the concrete pipe, I'll definitely have to study your methods there, they're much neater and smaller, and they fire far and true too - nice work DEEZ.

I notice that you use the fort pieces for your elevators - I could never get them to work smoothly, so I use the colonial fence no. 1 and colonial corner pieces - which I think work very well for escalators and motorised walkways.

I am certainly going to build a map including these features, but it may be a little while yet.

And thanks to yoz for joining me in a quick scout round Worlds Fair NY, glad you liked it mate - the lag wasn't too bad as it turned out - but there were only 5 or 6 players in there, and they are pestles in the globe Grin

[This is turning into another lengthy post again - sorry Grin]

Anyway, back on topic - my 2 grid map is going to be called Dawn of the Dead, and it is based on the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh where the Romero movie Dawn of the Dead was filmed.
It's about half way through now and features most of the famous landmarks in the movie. I'll throw in a beta when it's 70-80% done if anyone feels like shooting some zombies - well ok, not zombies then - me actually  Grin

Seeing as how Deez has said it's ok to use an old map, I went back to B3E - Suburban Metal and added diamond stations so that it's playable in all modes, added a couple more spectator cameras and re-published. It is officially my entry for the 2 grid arena TOTM.
