So there you go, another CoD. It's gonna be out on 9th November. I saw the trailer today and it's gotten my interest somewhat, though I'm still not sure about getting it after all the bad things I heard about CoD6. You can bet I won't be getting it. I shouldv'e hopped on the CoD train at CoD 4. I went with MW2 and I don't feel like taking another $60 chance especially since this one's being made by Activision. Supposedly, Infinity Ward is the good company making CoD games, and Activision isn't as good. I heard World at War (by Activision) was pretty good though.
Anywho, MW2 had potential, but was generally ruined by all the campers, laggers, and boosters.
I hope this one turns out good, but unless it's hailed as the game to end all games I'll be staying away.
It'd be nice if they gave out some actual info...

I'm going to have to opt out on that one as well.
Trayarch made it, and it's just an overrated map pack.
The only way I'll get that is if it has a map maker, or I see it real cheap on ebay.

I played around 10 hours on this game and its a total let down.
The graphics are poor at best and the IA is a joke, i flanked a dude in his view and he just kept shooting forward.....
Another dude was shooting a car and he did not even point his gun up or take a step to the side.....
The multiplayer maps look like a ps2 game. And that's a positive remark.
Except a few changes in the perk department that are pretty cool, like customizing your gun and cammo it stands in the shadow of all the bad things.
I am glad i got of the hype train and saved me 70$.
The game is a few days old and they are already talking about MW3 release dates. spring 2011
This game is getting over rated every time and its time for something new in the series if you ask me.
Just like Deez posted its a 70$ map pack whit a different slap of paint.

I watched the previews and it sure looked good, but it is made by Trayarch.
Are you sure you're not playing it on easy? lol
Is there anything new that makes this game different from the rest?
I bet they brought vehicles back huh?

As for my point of view, I could never understand all the hype around CoD games in general.
What I heard about them doesn't even remotely sound like anything special, infact it sounded pretty bad, except from the CoD diehards' point of view, because they'd consistently overrate the game in every aspect.
But other than that, there could be a huge list of stuff being said that would make you literally fall off the "hype train" (nice word Yoz! :-D). While they would promise you a nice SP and MP experience, it is quickly going to be spoiled by all the lag, bad graphics, maybe stupid AI - and of course - the stereotypical noob kids that are like a widespread virtual disease to me.
Despite the fact I have only played the MW2 Demo, which wasn't bad except for the totally raped climbing controls, I feel confident enough to say this game would never be worth 70 bucks, for which my main argument would simply be that the SP and MP stuff doesn't have much replay value - as if all those other bloopers were not bad enough already.

I do like the cod in its own way, a fast linear shooter but just like World at war it looks to grainy and cartoon like.(imo)
The graphics are focused on what the game wants you to look at. ex You are talking a dude and his face looks awesome and another dude 3 feet away has no texture or face expressions at all and looks like crap, This is something that is not worth paying 70$ for. Same whit cars and houses....
I always start a game on hard or veteran and we played it on hard and completed the sp in 7 hours.
Maybe its wrong to compare it to MW2 because of the cold war setting, this not justifies crappy graphics and bad AI.
Well the multiplayer is better balanced then MW2, no quickscoping, no ac130, no scavenger and endless tubing, killstreaks don't count towards other killstreaks.
The spawnpoints are no better then MW2 maybe worse, You always spawn on your side where you start. (like fc2)
So no one spawns behind you, but camp killing will be the downside of this i think, especially against a clan or skilled players.
So far i have seen the RC car that explodes after 15 seconds and the attack helicopter that you can control.

I would probably like it enough to buy it, but then get bored of it in a month or two so I'm not even going to try this one.
I too like the faster paced shooting in CoD games, and the small amount of bullets it actually takes to kill.
But unless they make another CoD with a map maker, these over-glorified map packs are always going to stay just that, map packs with new toys.
